CAFE ROMA

“It was the place to be in the 60s. It was open until ten in the evening and a hang out for young people. All the mods were in the back of the café and all rockers at the front, drinking frothy coffee, no alcohol. Outside you’d have all our Lambrettas’ lined up alongside motorbikes. There was never any trouble though. Tony ruled with a rod of iron.”
